
Tabaqat Fahil (Pella)
The sprawling city of pella in the north Jordan valley may be Jordan’s richest archaeological site, besides the excavated remains from the Greco-Roman period, including a theater, pella offers Visitors the opportunity to see the remains of a chalcolithic Settlement from the 4 th millennium bc, bronze and iron age walled cities, byzantine churches and houses, an early Islamic (Umayyad) Residential quarter, and a small medieval Islamic (Mameluke) mosque.
